destroy God, not worship Him
Don’t idolize God — experience Him.
Do not argue about God.
Do not defend God.
Do not deny God.
DESTROY - the idea of - God.
The moment God becomes a belief, it becomes psychological comfort.
The moment God becomes scripture, it becomes borrowed knowledge.
The moment God becomes imagination, it becomes ego’s projection.
Be ruthless with yourself. Be ruthless with others. Refuse second-hand truth, because more dangerous than ignorance is the illusion of knowledge. Where there is attachment (even to God) there will be sin.
Belief is just that.. belief. It lacks Knowledge. You can only believe in something if you don't know about it cause you have not experienced it. After you experience It you no longer believe, you know.
If God exists — find it directly.
Not through priests.
Not through rituals.
Not through inherited fear of pain.
Not through inherited desire for pleasure.
Not even through holy books.
Direct experience.
Direct seeing.
Direct awareness.
Be not an atheist.
Be not a theist.
Be not even a sword within a sheath.
Be Absolute. Be Nothing.
Cut belief.
Cut doubt.
Cut imagination.
And what remains?
Silence.
Presence.
Suchness.
That which cannot be named or explained — some call it God. Call it this:
This breath.
This moment.
This awareness.
This finally final Death.
No middleman.
No promise of heaven.
No spiritual marketplace.
Only Truth — naked.

ReplyDeleteDharma says, lazy "astikas," will idolize but won't make efforts to progress.
But serious astikas ,even determined nastikas who keep at it to discover what's out there ( or "in here") will experience God.
thats a shame for "believers" / seekers... they make religion look real bad. Its mostly about discipline at the end; thats why they call true astikas sadhaks / sadhus / sidhas.. cause of sadhana :)

DeleteYes, it's about discipline, of mind, body and spirit.
ReplyDeleteIt's said sadhakas are the bravest of people as disciplining oneself requires bravery.
Even a seemingly "easy" path like bhakthi yoga tests this discipline severely.
That's why satsangh is a necessity.
